7 DPO – September 2015

Ever have those days where at the end of the day you look around you and think, “I have effectively accomplished nothing today?” Today was, for the most part, one of those days for me. I suppose I did have some minor accomplishments, but nothing like what I’m used to getting done in a day’s time.

I have not been as tired as I was today in a very, very long time. Last night I was in bed and asleep before 11:20 pm, which is all but unheard of for me! I just couldn’t keep my eyes open!! Bubby woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 4:30 this morning when his Daddy got up and started getting ready for PT.

So I got up, changed his pants, and put on The Sword and the Stone for him to watch, for the simple reason that I had no inclination to entertain a toddler at 4:30 in the morning. I know it was early, but usually I have no trouble getting up and at ’em at a moment’s notice without any trouble. Kind of a side effect of having young children. I was so tired this morning however, that I literally felt like I’d been drugged before I went to bed. Which is, of course, ludicrous. I finally got John back to bed around 6:30, and whereas I would normally stay up for an hour or so and blog, I straight up bolted for my bed! I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow!

I woke up at around 9:45 this morning to the sounds of my son chirping happily in his room. It took me another 15 minutes just to be able to muster enough energy to get my ass out of my bed, stagger into the bathroom, pee, and go get my child. I spent the vast majority of the day lying on my couch, dozing in and out of consciousness. Thank God my son was relatively well behaved – meaning that he only partially tore my house to shreds!

I finally managed to get up enough pep to make it to my Mother’s house to drop off Bubby so I could get to the lab and get my blood drawn. My Dr wanted to get a progesterone check done on me to see whether or not I O’d this month. Since I got there in the last 5 minutes of their shift, I got in and out in less than 10-15 minutes! Headed to pick up the Tiny Tyrant, then picked up dinner on my way home. The rest was business as usual. I’m hoping that when I call tomorrow for my results that I had a decent O this month. Oh, the anticipation …..
